Our standard range of gas springs contain over 900 different articles, which can be combined with hundreds of end-fittings and accessory parts. If, however, you have special requirements with regard to dimensions, forces and other characteristics, a customized spring design is possible.
The main components of a gas spring is a cylinder, a piston rod with piston crown, a seal and a guide. The cylinder is filled with compressed nitrogen gas, which provides equal pressure to both sides of the piston. The surface of the piston rod side of the piston is less than that on the opposite side, which results in a sliding force. In simple terms, the amount of the driving force is determined by the cross-sectional area of the piston rod of the product and the internal pressure in the cylinder.
